How to celebrate Brazilian carnival in Dublin

by | Feb 4, 2025 | Specials

Dublin is home to people from many countries all over the world. However, one group appears to be more prominent than others – Brazilians. While over the course of history, more Irish people emigrated to Brazil, than the other way round, the trend has reversed since the late 20th century. In 2020, Brazilians even made up more than 1.5 % of the Irish population – in Dublin alone, there are more than 30.000 Brazilian people. And of course, they bring their culture with them. That’s why you’ll get amazing Brazilian food in Dublin and why you can celebrate Brazilian carnival in the Irish capital. Carnival usually takes place around the end of winter, this year it’s at the end of February. In this post, we’ll let you know where you can celebrate Brazilian carnival in Dublin.
