17th of March is St. Patrick’s Day! And with the Irish national holiday approaching, there are of course many events you can attend. In this post, we’ll let you know about the best St. Patrick’s Day events in Dublin – from parties and concerts to treasure hunts and most importantly, the big St. Patrick’s Day parade through the streets of the Irish capital.

St. Patrick’s Day parade

We’re starting off with the highlight of the festivities: the St. Patrick’s Day parade. About half a million people visited the parade last year, and this year will be no different. Take your place along the parade route through the city and experience marching bands from all over the world, dancers and musicians and of course beautiful costumes in the Irish national colours. And make sure to also show your Irish pride with something green!

St. Patrick’s week at the Guinness Storehouse

Guinness Storehouse is one of the main attractions for tourists and for anyone interested in the history and production behind the famous Irish beer. Naturally, they do have a special for St. Patrick’s Day week offering visitors live traditional and contemporary music performances as well as Irish dancing from March 14th to 18th. For autistic and sensory-sensitive visitors, there will also be a reduced sensory experience on March 12th.

Dublin City Council St. Patrick’s Festival Treasure Hunt

Grab your friends or family and take part in the St. Patrick’s Festival Treasure Hunt! Taking place on March 15th, 2025, this treasure hunt takes you to venues all over the city where you have to collect stamps and solve cues with your group. Register your group with up to four people in advance online or on the day at the Wood Quay Offices. You’ll get a team pack before you start and the best-dressed group according to the theme “adventures” will also win a special prize. The treasure hunt is won by the group returning the fastest.
